Graduation

When Instant or Bonding launches hit the ~4.2 ETH progress milestone — what changes for Instant vs Bonding, and why graduation is not a safety seal.

At a glance

~4.2 ETH milestone: Instant updates status on an already-live Uni pool; Bonding migrates curve liquidity into Uni V3/V4. Not a safety seal.

Quick tip

Graduation is a technical milestone — not a safety rating or guarantee of performance.

Graduation is the ~4.2 ETH progress milestone on Peeps launches. Instant Classic and Instant Tax already trade in a locked Uniswap pool from block one — graduation is mainly a status / stage update on that live pool. Bonding Classic and Bonding Tax trade on the Peeps curve first; at ~4.2 ETH the migrator seeds locked Uniswap V3 or V4 liquidity.

For traders, graduation is a stage change — not a trophy. Progress % on the token page and Discover cards is a meter toward that milestone. Graduated status does not mean the token is audited, legitimate, or likely to rise.

For creators, graduation keeps creator fee participation on eligible volume according to live terms (see Creator earnings and Fees). Classic keeps the 1% pool fee path with 70% creator / 30% protocol of LP fees; Tax keeps that LP line plus your buy/sell tax story.

Where you see it: token page progress and status, Discover tabs Graduating / Graduated, and Activity → Live feed → Graduations. Charts often switch to DexScreener after graduation. Locked LP reduces one failure mode — it is not a price floor.

Status and chart treatment update when a launch graduates — verify on the token page.

Where to find graduation status

  • Token page — progress meter and graduated status
  • Discover → Graduating / Graduated tabs and Status filters
  • Activity → Live feed → Graduations filter
  • Charts may switch to DexScreener after graduation

What traders notice

  • Progress reaches its target and the token marks as graduated on Discover and the token page
  • Trading continues in the graduated pool through the same Buy / Sell panel pattern
  • Charts may switch to a Dex-style view
  • Fees follow the graduated pool schedule — for Classic V3, a 1% V3 pool fee with locked liquidity (see Fees)
  • Activity and board filters may list the token under graduated views

What does not change

  • You still sign every trade from your own wallet
  • You still need ETH for gas on Robinhood Chain
  • You still must verify the contract — graduation is not a safety audit
  • Community chat can still be wrong, late, or promotional
  • Price can still fall as well as rise; locked liquidity is not a price floor

Instant vs Bonding at graduation

Instant launches already have locked Uniswap liquidity at create — graduation updates progress / Discover status around the ~4.2 ETH milestone. Bonding launches migrate curve liquidity into Uni V3 (Classic curve) or Uni V4 (Tax curve) when that threshold fills. Fees stay on the disclosed Classic or Tax schedule either way — graduation is still not a safety audit.

Classic V3 fee context around graduation

After graduation1% pool feeLocked liquidity; same creator / protocol LP split
Chart switching after graduation
Expect progress-oriented charts to give way to Dex-style views after graduation.

Charts after graduation

When a Classic V3 token graduates, expect progress-oriented charts to give way to Dex-style views while the Buy / Sell panel stays familiar. Fees also shift to the graduated pool schedule (1% pool fee on Classic V3). Re-read the quote after graduation — the stage changed even if the button labels look the same.

  • Same panel pattern, different market mechanics
  • Classic V3 post-graduation: 1% V3 pool fee
  • Graduation is not an audit or endorsement

Moving from launch / progress trading into a DEX liquidity pool with locked liquidity (Classic V3).
Bonding curve
Pre-graduation Classic V3 trading path with the 1% pool fee on eligible trades.
Locked liquidity
Pool liquidity that is not casually removable in the ordinary Peeps Classic V3 design — not a price floor.
V3 pool fee
After Classic V3 graduation, swaps use a 1% Uniswap V3 pool trading fee.
Dex-style chart
Post-graduation chart treatment that looks more like pool / candle trading than progress-only views.
Tax V4
Launches with their own tax and pool configuration — do not assume Classic V3 graduation one-for-one.
